We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join our clients property team in the heart of Wellington. This is a full-time, permanent position where you will be responsible for the effective delivery of end-to-end facilities management across a high stakeholder engagement portfolio. As a key customer-facing FM, you will be the primary point of contact. This is a proactive role that requires cultivating relationships and ensure service excellence with precision problem-solving. This position requires joining a rotating on-call schedule to address maintenance issues after normal business hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the delivery of facilities services, provide direction to contractors, and monitor quality and timeliness.

  • Central point of contact for building users, addressing queries and resolving issues effectively.

  • Manage assigned budgets, complete regular forecasting, and review contractor invoices.

  • Collaborate and provide insights to surrounding team within property.

  • Ensure robust health and safety processes are embedded and oversee contractor safety compliance.
  • Manage minor projects, such as small fit-outs or replacements within your portfolio.


What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in facilities management across multiple buildings role. You will have a strong customer-centric focus and excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage complex facilities environments and engage with diverse stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
  • Proven experience in managing the delivery of maintenance services.

  • Proficiency in using Maintenance Management Systems.

  • Strong contractor management skills and the ability to cultivate strong relationships.

  • Solid understanding of building materials, plans, and manuals, as well as financial management capabilities.

  • Experience in minor project management and a sound understanding of building and health and safety legislative requirements.

  • Strong administrative and time management skills.
